Who you're calling
Best Bee started in 2016 out of a single van and a set of hand tools, working evenings and weekends around a day job at a Brampton dealership. The idea was simple and it hasn't changed: most of what sends a car to a shop — brakes, batteries, starters, alternators, belts, sensors, a check-engine light nobody can read — can be done in a driveway in ninety minutes with the right parts on board.
Today the van carries a full socket and impact set, a two-post-free jacking setup with stands and wheel chocks, a professional scan tool that reads ABS, airbag and transmission codes (not just the generic engine codes a $40 reader gives you), a battery load tester, a brake lathe-free rotor and pad inventory for the most common Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford and Chevrolet fitments, and a jump pack big enough to wake a dead F-150 in February.
We work on everything from a 2006 Corolla with 340,000 km to a leased 2023 RAV4 that needs its brakes done before the lease inspection. We do not do bodywork, we do not do tires beyond mounting and balancing what we can carry, and we will tell you honestly when a job genuinely needs a lift and a shop — a transmission rebuild, a timing chain on a transverse V6, an alignment. When that happens, we say so and we point you somewhere we trust.
What we fix
Every one of these is done on-site. Prices below are the typical all-in range for a Brampton driveway call including the part where a part is needed — the exact number depends on your make, model and year, and we quote it on the phone before we drive out.
$220 – $480 per axle
Pads and rotors on both sides of an axle, hardware and clips included, calipers freed and greased. We road-test the pedal before we pack up. If a caliper is seized we'll show you the old one and tell you before we replace it.
$180 – $320 installed
Load-tested first, so you're not buying a battery you didn't need. If it's the alternator or the starter instead, we test the charging system on the spot and quote the real fix. Group 24, 35, 47/H5 and 48/H6 usually in the van.
$95 diagnostic, waived if we do the repair
Full-system scan — engine, ABS, airbag, transmission, body codes — plus live data and a freeze-frame read. You get a plain-English explanation of what failed and what it will cost, not a printout and a shrug.
$85 – $140
Conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic, filter included, plus a 20-point look at belts, hoses, fluids, tire pressures and brake thickness while we're under there. Old oil goes back in the van and gets recycled properly.
$280 – $650 depending on access
The jobs that leave you clicking or squealing. We quote by the book time for your exact model, so a starter on a Civic and a starter on a transverse V6 are priced honestly differently — because they take honestly different amounts of work.
$60 – $120
Seasonal changeovers from your own stored set, rotations, torque to spec, and puncture assessment. We'll tell you when a tire is done rather than plugging something that shouldn't be plugged.
How a call goes
What it's doing — clicking, grinding, cranking but not starting, a light on the dash. Tell us the year, make and model and where the car is sitting. We'll tell you on the phone whether it's a driveway job or a shop job, and roughly what it'll cost.
Most Brampton addresses get a van within 60 to 90 minutes, and same-day is normal. Overnight no-start calls are the exception we built the business around — we're up anyway. You don't need to be home; you need the keys accessible and the car reachable.
We show you the failed part, we clear the codes and re-scan to confirm the fix held, and we take card, e-transfer or cash on the spot. No invoice in the mail, no "we'll call you when it's ready."
Where we go
We're based at 9 Cutters Crescent in the L6Y / Fletcher's Creek area, which puts most of Brampton inside a twenty-minute drive. If you're on the edge of the city or just outside it, call anyway — we take a lot of calls in Mississauga and the west end of Toronto, and we'll tell you straight whether the drive is worth it.
Highway shoulder calls: put your hazards on, stay behind the barrier if there is one, and stay in the car with your seatbelt on if there isn't. We'll find you.

There is no answering service and no after-hours surcharge buried in the fine print — the number rings the same phone at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday and 2 a.m. on New Year's Day.
